RYDER INTEGRATED LOGISTICS INC

COMPANY HISTORY:

Ryder is a company with a very good reputation for high quality equipment and steady clean freight.  Ryder is a publicly traded company listed on the NYSE with the stock ticker symbol R.  This is the only company I’m familiar with that has a single character stock symbol.  This company has over 4,000 trucks, a client list full of FORTUNE® 500 companies, and they have been in business over 80 years, so they must be doing something right.  Here’s a quote from Google Finance on Ryder:

“Ryder operates in three business segments: Fleet Management Solutions (FMS), which provides full service leasing, contract maintenance, contract-related maintenance and commercial rental of trucks, tractors and trailers to customers principally in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom; Supply Chain Solutions (SCS), which provides supply chain solutions, including distribution and transportation services throughout North America and Asia, and Dedicated Contract Carriage (DCC), which provides vehicles and drivers as part of a dedicated transportation solution in the United States.”
