Saia has been around for a while the operate over 3600 trucks in North America and has been in business since 1924.  It was started by Louis Saia, Sr., a produce dealer in Houma, LA, in response to the many requests he received from his customers to haul their goods.  Today Saia is a publicly traded company known as the leader in LTL service.  They are publicly traded on the NASDAQ under the symbol SAIA.
